There is definitely a baby boom going on in 2009. I don't think I've ever photographed this many babies in such a short period of time. In the last two weeks alone, I've worked with nine new babies! Here is a small peak of a few of them, with more to come next post....
Little Miss Jada Marie was a complete angel, and slept peaceful through the entire session. During previews, Mom kept referring to her sweetie in the mop hat as "the milkmaid picture", and now I can't help giggling about that every time I look at the portrait.
Sebastian comes from a rock n roll family, and it was important to have that Incorporated into his session. That's Dad's antique guitar. We're still not sure if the skull hat will fly with Mom & Dad's conservative family, but it's certainly adorable and unique!
Little Lilah is a precious gift to Mom & Dad, and her two big brothers, in so many ways.
And last but not least, we have Louis Joseph. Another sweet little angel who was excellent and slept contently through the session. The first portrait is one of my all time favorite newborn images this year, and the second was my take on Dad's request for something classical and old world.
I'm always thrilled when request to paint a portrait, and this is now one of my favorites as well.
